Coming off the ferry, an on-road section takes you through Plymouth and into Plymbridge Woods. A wonderful off-road trail, passing over viaducts and through a tunnel to skirt Dartmoor, takes you to the spectacular 200m long, 24m high Gem Bridge. From the heavily wooded Walkham Valley, a railway path leads through the 350m Grenofen Tunnel to the historic granite town of Tavistock.
