For more than 100 years Corbière lighthouse has warned approaching ships to steer clear of Jersey’s treacherous western coast. Its light can be seen up to 28 kms away. At certain times there are guided visits to see the interior, where you climb up the spiral staircase to the lantern room. You can see the clockwork mechanism, and other equipment and fittings that have been lovingly restored. Be sure to check the tide times before you visit.
