Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find out more about ferry routes between the UK and France ?
St Malo-Dinard shuttle boat ?
We also recommend making the crossing from St Malo to Dinard on the Compagnie Corsaire shuttle boat to avoid the Rance Dam, which can be very busy.
Are there luggage transfer services for these routes ?
Bike rental firms with “Accueil vélo” accreditation also offer luggage transfer services, either free or for a fee. These accredited services are to be found on the stage maps, once you have selected the types of accommodation you are interested in.
Accueil Vélo approved services are shown in orange to distinguish them from other, non-accredited services (shown in blue). You are advised to inform the accommodation provider in advance to facilitate luggage transfer arrangements.
Tour operators and travel agents may also provide a similar service.
Where can I find more information about accommodation along the routes ?
The various possibilities for accommodation can be found on the stage map for the section you are interested in. These include campsites, guest houses, and hotels. You can select the type of accommodation you are interested in by clicking on the relevant icon on the map.
